I got a little behind in trying to work through my cookbooks one at a time. I had a dinner party last weekend and made one salad out of each of these cookbooks: oranges and olives from the Great Book of Couscous; carrots with orange juice and orangeflower water from the Ethnic Paris Cookbook; and cucumber with zatar from Paula Wolfert’s book. Plus I made a big pot of couscous vegetables and cooked some merguez. Had no Algerian wine though.

More from Betty Crocker’s New Good and Easy Cookbook. I bet these could be useful for a lot of different people. Recipe cards? Scrapbooking? ATC? ….
Maryhill Church COokbook 1978

This is the largest of the books, and has the most non-scary recipes. Still a great deal of jello salads and ground meat casseroles, but also a huge cake section, fruit wine recipes and candy chapter, which is like striking small-press cookbook gold.
