This image is post-filtering in Photoshop. If you compare it to the image before, you can see that the writing below, while still quite faint, is more legible than before post-production in photoshop.
This is from a cookbook I discovered. The woman who wrote these recipes into it actually recorded the date that she copied each recipe. So, that ’78 there? That’s EIGHTEEN seventy-eight!
Unfortunately, the ink is fading terribly on many pages. I am trying to find a way to at least digitize them before the ink becomes completely unreadable.
