Chocolate cake cookies made with almond flour, coconut milk, coco powder, eggs. baking soda and powder to get a rise out of the dough. Frosting filling made with vegetable shortening, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Made for a friends caveman themed party where several of the guests were on the paleo or hunter gatherer diet.

Getting old is no fun; you have to be on a diet ALL THE TIME just to maintain your weight; losing weight requires fasting… which I guess I’ll be doing anyway during Lent.
This is my contribution to the flickrBINGO group; this week’s challenge is negative space. There is lots of negative space on my plate these days…..

I wonder if we’re a test market for this stuff (seeing as how Atlanta is contractually obligated to forgive Coke for anything) or if it’s everywhere. I haven’t actually run across one in a store yet (not that I’m looking). I’m kind of curious to try one, though I have to tell you that this billboard makes me think of the taste in my mouth when I wash down one of my big health-food store super vitamins with diet coke. It is not a good taste.

Don’t worry! I let the boyz have the bully sticks, I’m not so greedy…. but the chocolate is ALL MINE! hehehe. And yes despite Merc’s diet I let him have a bit of bully. He really wanted it and asked so nicely (with a couple nose bonks) for me to hand it to him off the low coffee table.
Because some of you may not know, dark chocolate especially the 99% on top of my stack, is toxic to dogs. Be very careful when gifting to homes with pets, that you are sure to wrap and then label items that may be harmful if placed where the pets can get to the gift.
When I was young, I was convinced that our beagle could read. He of course only opened the gifts with his name on them when we left him downstairs with the tree one night. What a smart beagle! Don’t let your pets, or your friend’s pets, outsmart you this holiday. 🙂
