Cookbook bookshelf as made by the photographer, to fit a very narrow space between a cabinet and the swing of a door. Horizontal pieces are mounts, as the studs are nowhere near where the bookshelves are mounted. (also serving as a mount for a day-pack hook…) Made of knotty pine dimensional (1×8) lumber with a ¼ inch plywood back, finished with my traditional one coat of orange shellac. (Upper mounting piece is finished with clear shellac, as a test – I needed to match the cabinet…) Taken by a Nikon D40x with a Nikon 18-55mm non-VR kit lens (at 31) Camera’s on-board flash fired.

After checking The Joy of Pickling: 250 Flavor-Packed Recipes for Vegetables and More from Garden or Market (Revised Edition) from the library I purchased it. It arrived just in time, check out my other photos and you’ll see that my Boston Pickling Cucumbers are ready for pickling. I can’t wait to try some homegrown homemade pickles – MMMMMM.

Rice cakes are pan roasted so they’re crispy on the outside but still chewy. The sauce has roasted onions that I burnt a little but it still worked.
