Toronto Life and CFC celebrated the premiere edition of Toronto Life Cookbook, featuring 100 recipes from the city’s best chefs. Guests sampled a variety of culinary food and drink offerings made from recipes from the Cookbook.
The evening also marked the unveiling of the Miele Kitchen,
designed by J.F. Brennan, and the GlucksteinHome design project at Windfields Estate.

As a little kid, I spent hours sitting at the kitchen table pouring over the illustrations in this book. It was a graduation gift to my mom in the early ’50’s. I love "Better Homes and Gardens" cookbooks. Most of them have classic illustrations and fonts that perfectly mirror the design and fashion of the times. And the recipes are pretty good, too.
Bad Dog Lucy – Weight Watchers Cookbook

Lucy (my Shih Tzu) is a pretty bad dog. She doesn’t have teeth, she has "teef," but she chews and gnaws anyway…and here is one of many things she has slowly gnawed. 🙂
By the way, I hope the irony does not escape the viewer that she tried to eat a Weight Watchers Cookbook when she was hungry. 🙂
