Alaskan Salmon grilling

These salmon fillets were being grilled in Putnam County, Tennessee, USA. The fish was caught, and vacuum-packed, by our nephew in Alaska. One of my brothers did a good job preparing these, and they were part of a delicious meal arranged by our sister-in-law.
Thanks, everyone who worked on this.
This is the 800th photo in our Flickr photostream. There were 23 of them in Explore when I posted this photo. (The algorithm must have changed, because there were 32 a few hours later, and a few of the 23 had disappeared. Oh, well . . .)

vaguely portuguese roast?

I have this memory of my mom making something she called portuguese that consisted of pork, linguica, green olives, and lemon, but I can find no evidence of this dish being even remotely authentic.
whatever, it tastes good anyway.
boil whole potatoes until a knife goes in easily, brown the sausage sliced. cut the potatoes and add both to a caserole dish with green olives, sliced lemon, salt, and a splash of red wine. pour the sausage grease over the dish, toss to cover, and roast covered at 400 for 40 min, then uncovered for 20 or so.
