Got two new books via Indigo online this week for far less than their retail price – and free shipping! This is something new to those of us who don’t get Amazon’s really good prices up here in Canada (yeah, yeah, we have Amazon.ca but its just not as good as the US version).

1957 Cook Book – Front Cover

I found this little cook book for .50 cents and thought it had some fun recipes in it. It was printed in 1957. (1st edition, sixth printing)
-One of the recipes was a bit… poorly named: "Old Black Joe" – a prune with a banana and cherry hat. I will probably have to have a talk with my daughter about this one when she reads it.. She will be 11 years old in 10 days and is full of questions. (I love that. Thank goodness for the library and internet!)
