Exposure was using a D7000 & the kit lens 18-70 off my old D70. The camera only does a range of +-3 out of the box, but you can semi automate a wider range by using the U1 & U2 custom modes – hence the even numbered range of 6 stops of -3 to +2. I pulled the 6 stop bracket into Photoshop & just saved as a 32 bit TIFF. Then all tone mapping was done with Lightroom, based on Serge Rameli’s processing method.
This is basically, pull shadows & highlights to 100/-100 respectively, then adjust the whites & blacks to clip.
I did a bit of spotting, some colour temperature tweaks and increased the exposure on the jetty a bit.
