Dutch (Amsterdam based) outdoor shop Carl Denig organised a very cool outdoor event Januari 12-13-14 packed with workshops and the possibility to test their winter camping gear. Two whole nights to test their tents, (down)mats and sleeping bags! And many interesting outdoor workshops in between. A big campfire to keep us warm and lots’n lots of food and hot drinks to warm our inner soul.
Big thumbs up for the organisation! It was perfect. Adventure was calling and I just had to go 🙂
And what better way to start the new year than to go on a 3-day bikepacking microadventure to get to this wintercamping event in style…

Hiwa who is currently visiting his family in Iraq, will be giving cooking instructions with his mother, over Skype. Their family recipe and instructions will be translated from Kurdish to German to English for everyone to follow. It is an open event, whereby we work collectively to prepare and share a meal together.
