I borrowed this cookbook from my public library. My daughter and I tried several recipes just for our family. All the recipes we tried were wonderful! I bought several cookbooks, and may end up getting more. We kept one for ourselves, but we bought the others to give as bridal shower gifts. We give a crockpot and the cookbook. This is good home cooking with easy-to-find ingredients.

I recently read one of the Church Supper magazines and then decided to try to find a book with similar recipes. The recipes are easy to follow, not terribly complicated, and perfect if you are having a large gathering. There aren’t terribly exotic or fancy, but they are perfect for family dinners and larger dinner parties.

The last thing in the world I’d probably ever do is go to a church supper, but I bought this book anyway because I like Taste of Home books, usually. I have made many of the things in this book for just myself (some of the casseroles last me 3 or 4 days) and they’re great. A few of the desserts have been really big, but as the previous reviewer says, you can always cut the recipes down to feed only 1 or 2 people.

I highly recommend this book. It’s just a bonus that it’s so inexpensive.

THE RECIPES ARE CLEARLY DESCRIBED, PICTURES WONDERFUL, AND THE RECIPES I’VE USED ARE AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER THAN I ANTICIPATED. CONGRATULATION ON A GOOD BOOK.

I bought this cookcook for 2 reasons. My daughter & I attend churches that frequently have luncheons after their morning worship services. Coming up with something new to take can be a bit of a hassle. This cookbook was just the thing that we both needed to help us think.

The second reason I chose this book is because it is a Taste of Home cookbook. Past experience has showed us that anything we make will be enjoyed by almost everyone who tries it

The book has 12 different recipe categories. Finding something quick and easy to make should not be a problem for anyone. Taste of Home: Best Church Suppers: Over 500 Potluck Favorites!
