Great and practical menus for people with food allergies to dairy and wheat! A definite buy for autism and ADHD patients.

I was SO excited to buy this book! It provides you with so many different recipes as well as different cooking techniques. The only reason I did not rate this book with 5 stars is because of the different forms of sugar the author uses. There are quite a few kinds, some of which I do not have access to buy unless I get them offline. It is easy though to substitute and still get the same result though! Overall, I am really happy I bought this cookbook!

I picked up this cookbook because I wanted my family to be able to cook more at home and avoid many of the nasty little ingredients that seem to find their way into our food supply these days like high fructose corn syrup and other additives, without giving up foods we like. While we have some mild food sensitivities occasionally, we aren’t so sensitive that the merest hint of dairy or flour can make our family members ill, so we didn’t start eating cleaner because we really had to.

I was therefore, very pleasantly surprised by just how easy the recipes are, and how delicious they turn out. For example, the ice cream recipes in here are just out of this world! I can’t think of any reason to buy ice cream in the store again, given how easy they are to make and how great they turn out. If anything, the ice cream that came out of the ice cream maker tonight was the best I’ve ever had! And there was not a drop of milk in it. I plan to cook from this little book a lot in the future. Great job Kelly!

My family, when they read the title, asked the question: “Which one is spunky, the coconut or the cookbook?” My answer to that question is the author! This cookbook is filled with nuggets of information, easy to follow, gives product references of where she purchases her ingredients right there in the recipe so you don’t have to search in the back, very fun and easy to read–just like your best friend is right there in the kitchen talking to you, and there is a photo of almost every recipe–that’s a criteria for me! I’m a visual person and I like to have a guide/picture of what it’s supposed to look like when I’m done with it. I learned alot from this cookbook–I hope she will continue to author books of this caliber–I would buy them, definitely!
