I just received this book and can’t wait to try the recipes in it. I have the Sonoma Diet Book and my husband and I both LOVE the recipes. We don’t necessarily use it to lose weight, but to make good healthy meals that we both can enjoy.

First let me say that I’m not following the Sonoma Diet per se, I just desire to cook healthy meals for my husband and myself. This book takes the hassle out of coming up with healthy menus, and has everything that I was looking for in a cookbook. The layout is simple and beautiful, the recipes are wonderful, and the recipe ingredients are easy to find in most grocery stores. The main entree recipes have suggestions on what side veggie, starch, or fruit to serve with it, also a wine pairing.

Some of the categories in the book are Breakfast, Soups, Salads, Sandwiches, Beef Entrees, Pork Dinners, Chicken & Turkey, Fish & Seafood, Meatless Meals, Side Dishes, Snacks & Desserts, Holiday Favorites.

Thanks Connie Guttersen for a great cookbook.

I subscribe to the Sonoma Diet website and am thrilled to have the cookbook. It has different recipes which say what Phase you can eat them in. There is alson usually a suggestion of what to eat with it if its not a whole meal. I highly recommend the cookbook!

A great cookbook (and believe me I’ve got lots). Very clear explanations and finger-lickign recipes.Colourful and relatively easy to follow.

The only comment/suggestion I would like to make, is that the book would be greatly enhanced if it had a “Substitutes Glossry” (foods, terms, temperature and so on), ie aimed at other market country markets the book would have – eg Australia, England!

Too many American cookbook authors spoil the impact of their books by not taking this factor into account. Remember people America is not the whole world and therefore is not your whole market.

The Sonoma Diet Cookbook is full of easy to prepare healthy eating meals! If you are serious about changing your lifestyle with better eating, this is the book to have on your bookshelf. A great companion book on achieving a healthier lifestyle is Mary El-Baz’s “Building a Healthy Lifestyle: A Simple Nutrition and Fitness Approach.”
